About Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi
Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) Ranchi is a state university located in Morabadi, Ranchi. The university was established in 1926 as a Government Intermediate College. Initially, the university was known as Ranchi College, however, it was upgraded to a Unitary State University and is known as Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University. In the year 2009, the university was accorded the status of Autonomous College by UGC.
Moreover, UGC has also recognized the varsity as a College with the potential for excellence. DSPMU Ranchi is spread over 110 acres of land with a huge building Architecture, strong Human Resources, well-equipped laboratories and classrooms, laboratory for the Development of Communication skills. The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses such as BA, B.Sc (Hons.), BBA, BAJMC, MA, M.Sc, PGD, and Ph.D.
