About Graphic Era University, Dehradun
Graphic Era University (GEU), Dehradun was established in the year 2008 as a deemed university. Graphic Era is located in Uttarakhand, a state in northern India near the Himalayas. Graphic Era University has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a grade “A+”. Graphic Era University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.
Admissions at GEU Dehradun are completely based on the merit scores in the previous qualifying exam and state or national-level entrance exams. GEU Dehradun has been deemed to be university status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Graphic Era Common Entrance Test (GECET) is an initiative by Graphic Era Group of Institutions to offer scholarships and assess admissions for all GEU courses. The college has good infrastructure and facilities like library, e-library, playground, basketball court, badminton court, and a special room for indoor games with good environment and many more. The food served in hostel was good and made with proper hygiene, same in canteens. They have a huge ground for various festivals and events.

The infrastructure is good. But all the faculty buildings are not too good, having many problems regarding infrastructure. ACs, fans, smart boards, projectors never work properly. It's too much painful too study during summer season.

The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) has 1150 seats in the Computer Science Branch (all specializations like Data Science, Game Design, Cognitive Technologies, Image and Signal Processing, Computing for Sustainability, Internet of Everything, Privacy and Security, Human Computer Interface, Cloud computing). Graphic Era University has 480 seats for Computer Science Branch.
UPES B.Tech CS students get placed in companies like Jio, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, HSBC, Infosys, Splash BI, ITC Infotech . The highest placement is Rs.50,00,000 and the average package is Rs8.3 lakhs. Studnets of Graphic Era University get placed in companies like Capgemini , Adobe, Loople, Amazon, Walmart, Infosys, Nineleaps ,Wipro, TCS, Byjus, and ZS Associates . The Upes university has the very higher fees for every aspect of fees for the university and has no such reputation in respect of education campus enviornment ,and placement .on the other hand the Graphic EERA university has the all requirements for education ,Feculties,campus enviornment,and overall good placement record.In Graphic ERA university more tha 78%==student got placed in previous years and have the average salary of 4.8 lacs of rupees per annum and the highest salary is 7.8lacs of rupees per annum .But the UPES has no such record of placement inthe previous years. So the decision is yours.

Graphic Era University is a private Deemed to be University which is a NAAC accredited and UGC approved university. Students from all over India, takes admission to this university in various courses. So if you wish to go for the university, you can go for it without any doubt. There is no problem if you go from South Indian states. It will take some time but you will be able to get accommodated with it.
