Course Overview

The certificate course Supply Chain and Logistics Management is offered for candidates to enhance their understanding of the supply chain with the logistics system. This program is developed for applying the principles of strategy, operations and planning. The program is designed and planned in such a manner that the participants and candidates can advance in their careers related to the supply chain in a diversity of roles. 

This course aims to help the candidate develop enterprise strategies for linking with supply chains with one another. This course also helps to coordinate several strategies used for the supply chain based on the needs with value addition. The candidates will learn how to optimize the supply chain through the deployment of analytical tools and software-based techniques. The course trains the candidate to work in advanced areas of the supply chain such as Blockchain and the Internet of Things. At the end of the course, the student is required to complete a project based on the earlier modules taught.

The candidates are required to have some experience working in quantitative and operations in order to enroll in this course.

Certification qualifying details

In the final module, the candidates are tested for a project which is action-based and happens under the guidance of the faculty. The candidates who successfully pass the evaluation will be awarded the certificate of completion.

Supply Management

In this course on Supply Chain and Logistics Management, the candidates having prior experience operations with quantitative methods will benefit from the following areas: 

  • The candidates will learn the basics of supply chain analytics in both descriptive and predictive ways will be taught how to employ forecasting and simulation for decision making under uncertain conditions. 
  • The candidates will also be taught prescriptive supply chain analytics where they will use methods of optimization with network design for transportation and routing.
  • The candidates will learn inventory management and coordination of the supply chain models and mechanisms for evaluations.
  • Candidates will learn about warehousing and distribution strategies that are employed for warehousing operations, design principles and benchmarking. 
  • The candidate learns about the different types of the supply chain which are set with strategies integrated for chain effectiveness. 
  • The candidates also learn about risk management and get exposure to the use of new technologies such as blockchain, RFID and IoT which helps in the coordination of marketplaces and new business models.

Admission Details

The admission(nomination) process for the Supply Chain and Logistics Management programme is as follows: 

Step 1: The candidate must apply for the nomination here in the link http://eepcrm.iima.ac.in/crm/nomination_form.php

Step 2: The candidate’s nomination should reach the Executive Education Office before January end and the candidate must also pay the nomination fee. 

Step 3: The programme faculty reviews and approves the nominations as per their requirements.

Step 4: The candidates will be sent a formal acceptance letter if nominated for the programme.

The candidates should have background knowledge in Operations and must have quantitative abilities enrolling in this course may need to have a graduate degree in a related discipline and a good knowledge of the business environment.

The course syllabus is designed at an advanced level which requires at least two years of work experience and quantitative reasoning aptitude to complete this program.

8: Is there an on campus session involved in this program?

No. All lectures on classes in the program are live by nature and there will be no on-campus sessions.
