The healthcare industry of India is a booming industry that is growing at a rapid pace. This course aims to teach its students how to develop a multidisciplinary inclination to the field of healthcare management, learn about the basics of healthcare management, get trained in supervisory leadership, get familiar with innovation and entrepreneurship in the sector of healthcare, get sensitized to the macro policy in the context of nationality and globality and be able to instill comparative framework which relates to the healthcare challenges which have to be faced by developing countries.
This course aims to adhere to the specific needs of aspiring professionals in the healthcare industry by providing a curriculum that combines academic modules and hands-on practical experiences by the way of a system known as Industry Immersion Program (IIP). The students will get sufficient exposure to healthcare management and engagement in developments and debates in both the global and Indian healthcare industry.

The candidates need to make an application fee payment of Rs. 20000. This includes an application amount of Rs. 2500 plus the processing fees of Rs. 17500.
The programme fee amount is Rs. 11,10,000.
The candidates need to make the payment in installments.

Work Experience
The candidate needs to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the healthcare sector as of the date of closure of application.
Education
In order to be eligible to apply for this course, the candidate needs to be a medical professional (practitioner or administrator) with MBBS/BDS/BAMS degree or an equivalent degree recognized by UGC/AICTE/MCI or any equivalent educational board.
The candidate can be a student with a background in biotechnology or biomedicine. They can be students of another discipline with prior experience in the healthcare sector. They also need to have a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in graduation/post-graduation.
Certification Qualifying Details
The evaluation and examination of the certification will be carried out by IIM Calcutta. The evaluation will be done on the basis of assignments, written tests, capstone projects, online exams, and so on.

Exams will be conducted for each course in the syllabus. The grades awarded are the following: ‘Excellent’, ‘Good’, ’Fair’ or ‘Poor’. The certificate of successful completion will be awarded to the candidates who have gotten less than two ‘Poor’ grades and the grade list will be mentioned in the certificate.
If a candidate has more than two ‘Poor’ grades, they will only be awarded a certificate of participation and the grade list will not be specified on the certificate. Attendance is also a very integral criterion one needs to fulfill in order to successfully complete the course.
All candidates who have been given a certificate of successful completion will also be awarded “IIMC Executive Education Alumni” status from IIM Calcutta.
After getting accepted into the program, the Rs. 17,500 taken as processing fee will be adjusted in the total course fee and you will only need to pay the remaining amount.
If your application is not approved by IIMC and rejected, you will be returned the processing fee in full.
The course attendants will be provided with accommodation and each room is to be shared by two students. The accommodation fee charged does not include fees for food, which is to be arranged by the students themselves.
The course has been divided between academic classes and the IIP. In between these modules, there will be a two-week break for the students.
The duration of the course is 12 months or 1 year.
The classes will be held on-campus and will be in-person.
The minimum requirement for work experience in the healthcare industry is two years. If you complete two years' rights as the deadline for application ends, you will be considered but not if you complete 2 years after the applications have closed.
The students will be selected on the basis of their experience and educational qualifications. There may also be an entrance exam along with a personal interview.
No, only the candidates who have been awarded the certificate of successful completion will be awarded alumni status from IIM Calcutta.
