Eligibility Criteria

To enrol in Quantitative Methods in Chemistry by Swayam, you must have completed an introductory Chemistry course and have a good knowledge of basic level mathematics at the 10+2 level.

To obtain the verified digital Quantitative Methods in Chemistry certificate, you must submit all course assignments and score an average of 10/25 (best six out of eight).  Moreover, you will have to attend the proctored exam and achieve a minimum score of 30/75. The final score will be determined as Final score = Average assignment score + Exam score. Your score must be >= 40/100 to be eligible for the certificate.

Quantitative Methods in Chemistry training does not include a separate application form for enrollment.   • Software-based data analysis (linear and non-linear regression)

  • Examples of data fitting and analysis (application to rate kinetics, gradient mixing,biomolecular folding)

  • Analytical separations (solvent extraction, chemical precipitation, various types of chromatography – size exclusion, ion exchange, affinity, gas, high pressure liquid chromatography, field-flow fractionation)
  • Detectors in chromatography

  • Theoretical basis of chromatography (concept of plates, theoretical plate height,plate count, resolution, retention time, retention factor, selectivity factor)
  • Differences between rate theory and plate theory

Evaluation process

The certification or proctored exam for the Quantitative Methods in Chemistry programme will be conducted on a day fixed by Swayam through in-person mode.
