The Chemical Crystallography certification course is a 12 weeks online programme. This programme is held through online tutoring on the Swayam platform by the experienced Professor Angshuman Roy Choudhury of IISER Mohali. The course certification provider partners are NPTEL and IIT Madras.
The Chemical Crystallography training course gives highlights of the different concepts that are used in X-ray crystallography techniques. This course will take all the students towards crystallography symmetry for defining the structure, and refinement of the different types of crystal structures that are done using x-ray diffraction. The programme will stand out to be beneficial for both organic and inorganic chemists on an experimental basis.
The Chemical Crystallography certification fee is zero. But when certification is the motive, a student shall have to give Rs. 1000 to sit for the proctored exam.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Some knowledge in the field of molecular symmetry is a prerequisite criterion.
Certification Qualifying Details
The Chemical Crystallography certification by IIT Madras, NPTEL, and Swayam is offered only if the students get 75% in total out of 100 in the end exam, and another 25% on an average of 8 out of 12 assignments.
What you will learn
Knowledge of Chemistry
After the completion of the Chemical Crystallography certification syllabus by IISER Mohali, the students will understand the concepts and also their respective applications towards the experimental techniques that can be used in X-ray crystallography.
The students who are either second-year students of MSc or are Ph.D. students, and want to picture themselves in the role of chemists are suitable for this programme.
Admission Details
To get admission to the Chemical Crystallography classes, the students may follow the steps:
Step 1: Follow the official URL: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_cy33/preview.
Step 2: Secondly, registration on Swayam is the key to beginning the registration process.
Step 3: Whenever the participants see they can log in, then it must be understood that admission is also given.
