Yes, you can take admission in IISER through JEE Advanced. To be eligible for IISER you should secure a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) under general category and for candidates belonging to reserved category (OBCNC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank should be within 10000. Good Luck!!

The cutoff is not specified actually for IISER as well as IISc. But a student with a KVPY fellowship has a very good chance of getting through admissions. Getting a KVPY fellowship itself is not easy. So most of the KVPY candidates with fellowships do get through. all the best!

Yes, an exam named as IISER aptitude test through which a student get admission in the SCB channel. However the cutoff marks in board is really high. For 2017 CBSE cutoff is 90%.

IISER is an autonomous institution awarding its own Masters and Doctoral degrees. Students are encouraged to carry out research projects during the vacation periods in the first four years of their Masters programme in various research institutes outside IISER.

IISER model of education is concept-based and inquiry-driven, as opposed to the more traditional content-based models. There is a strong emphasis on the interdisciplinary nature of today’s science, and recognition of the importance of research experience.

IISER offers many courses including 5 Year BS-MS programme in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and inter-disciplinary areas, Integrated Ph.D. Programme, Ph.D. Programme, Post Doctoral programme and summer visiting students programme. The institution also offers facilities for doing research in these areas.
