can I get direct admission in IISER ?

IISER takes admission through KVPY, SCB and JEE Advanced.

There is no direct admission.

Is the MS degree from IISER considered equivalent to Mtech in India and abroad?

MTech/ME is a course program given in an university whereas MS is a research program given in an university.

MTech/ME is a course to train students in a particular stream within an engineering discipline, say machine design/fluid mechanics in mechanical engineering or VLSI/control systems in electronics/electrical engineering.

MS is for training to student to take up a research career whether in industry or academia. Most MS students go for a PhD to pursue further research. IISC Bangalore is the best institute in India to pursue MS/PhD.

Companies in campus placement usually prefers MTech/ME students at NIT & IITs. Many companies who take up students for R&D work doesn't differentiate between MTech/ME and MS students.

whats the age limit of joining iiser

There are three channels of admission. Candidates will be admitted to IISER only through these channels.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel

Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (JEE) channel

State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel

These channels will be referred to as KVPY, JEE and SCB respectively.

Note : The age criteria will remain same as the eligibility of KVPY,JEE and SCB.

I want to take admission in iiser. I am OBC candidate.I am giving jee advance. Maharashtra Board percentage 75%.

Please share what is your Jee advance score?

Or if you want to go through SCB stream then Maharashtra board cut off should be more than 79%.

IISER Hall ticket 4 aptitude test is release but I can't download it.When I tried to login the it says thatapplication4SCBChannel is closed

I hope its sorted now. Generally the candidate can download their hall ticket after logging into their account in the application portal.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) conducts IISER Aptitude Test for admissions to dual degree (BS+ MS) programmes. IISER Aptitutde Test is a national level entrance exam conducted for 950 seats in 7 campuses across India - Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati and Berhampur.

Is BS from IISER equivalent to a normal degree in basic sciences from any other institute? If not, how it is different from usual BSc?

BS is which course in IISC? Are you asking for 4 years Bsc program?

If yes then you can get the details below:

BS admission process

IISC is a reputed institute and is research based so only if you have interest in it then only choose this college.

Rest not all other colleges are good to take admission in.
But if you get into top ones you may prefer that.

What are the job opportunities after BS-MS from IISER and what is the minimum salary of an IISER recruit?

There are plenty of jobs available after the course you can go for Research & Clinical fields. Salary depends on the particular field but minimum you can expect 40 to 50,000 Per month.

Is it possible to get Mtech aerospace engineering after BS-physics from IISER?

You can give Gate exam in any branch but admission in Aerospace engineering depends on college criteria which you will have to check separately as it varies.

However it was in its developing phase but still it was good. I enjoyed a lot natural beauty and greenery. Clean and AC classrooms. Lab facility was good and developing. Sports facilities was playing. Large campus ,there was too much to explore.
