Course Overview

The  Groundwater Hydrology and Management certification course is a three-month online program. The syllabus for this course is determined and created by IIT Bombay, and it is given through the Swayam platform. NPTEL and the Indian Institute of Management award the course certificate.

The core program component that addresses groundwater is where you can take the Groundwater Hydrology and Management training. For use in this area during climate change extremes (floods and droughts), groundwater is the most crucial water resource (floods and droughts). The expansion of farmed land, crop rotation, and farmer profits have all significantly benefited from groundwater.

This course is available as an elective to students in the departments of civil engineering, rural development, earth science, geology, or development. Prof. Pennan Chinnasamy explains this certificate course.
