Course Overview

The LibreOffice Suite Calc programme is a multidisciplinary, self-learning course, that is designed for the Undergraduate or Postgraduate level of studies. It employs 12 audio-visual tutorials with spoken language that candidates can sequentially cover in six weeks. Prof Kannan Moudgalya from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-Bombay), will conduct the explanations for this programme.

Admission Details

Step 2 - On the top, you will see the “Sign In/Register” button. Click on it to proceed. 

Step 3 - Create your SWAYAM account with your email ID. You will receive a verification code in your email. Fill it in to proceed with the application process. Alternatively, you can register via your Google, Microsoft, or Facebook account.

Step 4 - Once done, log in with your username and ID. Fill in the necessary details to complete the application process and start learning. 

Application Details

Candidates do not have to fill out an admission form. They can either sign in with their pre-existing SWAYAM account or create a new one with their email ID. They can also register with their Facebook, Microsoft, or Google account. Once done, they can log in, provide the required information, and start accessing the course material. 

Evaluation process

This course is a self-assessment and paced process. Students need to derive results similar to those portrayed in the video and continue the next lesson, till they complete all 12 videos. They must achieve the mentioned result to complete a video and progress to the next one. There are no certification exams for students to qualify and receive the certificate. They can do so by completing all the tutorials.

1: How can one check their progress?

Students need to play the audio-visual media side-by-side while applying the instructions on the provided software. Once the result of the tasks performed is the same as shown in the video, the pupil can move on to the next chapter.

2: Is the software provided easy to use?

Yes, you can copy and use the software on multiple systems with support to Windows OS and Linux OS. The work is similar to that of MS Excel spreadsheets. You will also be provided with outlines, assignments, code files, and slides for information.

3: Should I meet prerequisites to take up the course?

Since the course is multidisciplinary, you can take it no matter what stream you pursue. 

4: Can I opt to learn the content offline as well?

Yes, a downloadable link will be given to you from where you can access your lessons and progress through the chapter offline.

5: Is the instructor capable of delivering the course?

Yes. Prof Kannan Moudgalya is the instructor of the Swayam LibreOffice Suite Calc. He is the Principal Investigator of the Spoken Tutorial Project from IIT Bombay.
