The thermodynamics programme offered by IIT Bombay is a fundamental course of thermodynamics which is designed for mechanical engineering students. During the course, the participant will be exploring various laws of thermodynamics in detail.
The participants will receive in-depth insights about zeroth, first, and the second law of thermodynamics. The participants will also understand the properties of materials and the useful relationship between the properties.
The teaching pedagogy imparts more emphasis on a problem-solving approach. The course is tailor-made for mechanical engineering students, although scientists, teachers, and engineers may also find it quite useful.
The participants are allowed to learn at their own pace. The pre-recorded videos, PowerPoint presentation slides, graded assignments, activities, and reading materials are released after the course commences which the participant needs to complete before completion of the course.
The participants are also provided with two language options‑ Hindi and English, for the content of the course. However, the activities and assignments will be available in English only.
