Course Overview

The Principles of Digital Communications program is a course curated by IIT Delhi, under the categories electrical, electronic, and telecommunications, and Communication and signal processing. It is an undergraduate-level course that aims to introduce to the students the underlying basic principles for the designing and analysis of a digital communication system. It is a 12-week elective course with industry support from the telecommunication industry.

Digital communication systems form an integral part of all modern communication systems. The candidates who participate in Swayam’s Principles of Digital Communications training will develop a basic understanding of the system design goals. Participants also learn how to optimize the trade-off among basic system parameters like bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio.

The Principles of Digital Communications course by Swayam begins with an elaborate introduction to digital communications and builds up from a few basic concepts to different topics and theories involved in the topic. This online FDP, approved by AICTE, is rife with video tutorials and references which are also available online. For obtaining an e-certificate post-completion, finishing assignments, and clearing the assessments are compulsory.
