Yes the college has all nexessary infrastructure facilities and equipment. The facilities in my classroom, laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostels . They are well maintained. Living spaces are clean and hygienic. Food is clean and hygienic
I'm studying mech engineering because of my rank. Equality of teaching is average. The curriculum is updated and includes all recent developments in the field. Yes it does make me job ready. And It's good enough.
Not good enough. Not much focused on placement. Dont have much data about salaries jobs packages etc etc but as far as I know the placement is not what our college focuses on. It's main focus is foreign universities.
Average for most part
Meh, not good
Amazing yet challenging
Our college has been awarded with the prize for the best mess facility among all the 23 IITs. The infrastructure is up to the mark. The reason being recent construction techniques being used. The hostels have refrigerator, water cooler, induction in each of its floor. The permanent sports complex will be finished by the end of this year. Libraries are well equiped with research papers, thesis and college ses to it that content from other colleges are available either in soft or the hard form.
I am interested in Civil Engineering therefore pursuing it. Well you can't get every professor as the ideal one but the quality of teaching can be judged by the fact that almost 2/3 of faculty has PhDs from overseas institutions. The flexible curriculum is by far the best feature in case of academics. The student is free to choose whichever course he would like to enroll in(leaving some compulsory subjects). Every semester also includee HSS course(economics, french, philosophy etc).
Being a research oriented institute, the placements stats can be considered good. The highest for the previous batch being 40+ lakhs(EE). The placement percentage is around 60-70%. The stats are bound to go high owing to the fact that first batch of CS branch will graduate his year. As CS branch flourishes, the number of companies and highest package will increase exponentially. Median salary for the year 2014-15 is 6,63,000. Average salary is around 10-12 lakhs.
The fees are somewhat high compared to other IITs. The cost is around 1,40,000 per semester. This includes mess as well as laundry facilities.
By far the best campus life I have heard of. There are minimum restrictions. The gates are open 24/7. Boys and girls hostels are in close vicinity <200m and it is allowed to move to each others hostels(apply for girls hostel as well). The staff are supportive. Most of them have good contacts with the foreign universities as well as market. The location is at the outskirts of the city but there are bus facilities to main market every hour.
1. Explorer Fellowship- 42 days travelling experience given to student during summer break. 2 . Invent- Another 6 week program during summer break which includes students teaming to develop invention of societal need. 3 . Amalthea - Technical Summit. 4. Blithchron - Cultural Fest
The infrastructure is good. The campus is big enough for the number of students it hosts. There are ample amount of classes. There are two libraries—one in the acad area and the other in the hostel area.
The courses do not involve many hands-on. You need to work a lot on your own to be able to compete in the real world. To get all the skills that the everyday world requires, we need to go for online courses sometimes.
Very few companies come. It is more of a research-oriented institute. So it is better for those who want to go for higher studies. Sometimes the companies may be good; sometimes, they go back without hiring any of the students.
Government college. Not more nor less.
Awesome camous life. Canteens and different places to hang out. Diferent events.
Hello,
Hope you are doing great.
To answer your question the choice between IIT Indore Metallurgy, IIT Gandhinagar Chemical, and IIT Ropar Chemical depends on various factors, including your personal interests, career goals, and preferences. Here are some points to consider:
Hope this helps!!
See, preparatory courses are offered to those student who the IITs think that if we invest an year on these students, then these students may perform very well if they are admitted in the normal B.Tech programmes offered by the various IITs. So, if you have been selected by IIT Bombay in the preparatory course, then you'll have to do your course from IIT Bombay itself, and not IIT Gandhinagar.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
