The Fundamentals of Conduction and Radiation course can be accessed from the Swayam website. Swayam was created by the government of India to increase access to education among even the most disadvantaged sections of society. This course will be beneficial for students to analyse, solve, and model a broad range of engineering applications that involve conduction and radiation.
The Swayam courses are free. The courses are designed by experts in their respective areas. But candidates who want to get certified from Swayam have to submit the course assessments and sit for an end-term, in-person exam. There is an exam fee that has to be paid for the end-term exam. Course instructors Professor Amaresh Dalal and Professor Dipankar N. Basu, are faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department of IIT Guwahati.
The Fundamentals of Conduction and Radiation course by Swayam enables candidates to analyse, model, and solve a wide variety of engineering applications that are based on the theories of conduction and radiation. The course is focused on teaching candidates problem-solving skills.
