Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) mid-semester and end-semester examinations. The mid-semester examination is conducted in online mode whereas the end-semester examination is conducted in offline mode either at IIT (ISM) Campus or Extension Centre at Delhi/Kolkata. Practicals will be held in offline mode.
IIT (ISM) evaluates the presentation of research work in an offline mode at the end of the relevant semester within the specific duration given in the Academic Calendar.
Candidates holding a B. E./B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Engineering, M. Sc./M. Sc. Tech. in Geology/Geophysics can enrol in the programme. Working professionals with two years of experience in the E&P Industry are eligible for the IIT ISM Executive M.Tech in Reservoir Engineering.
Candidates are required to upload certain documents for admission to the programme. They include the applicant's photo and signature; academic mark sheets and provisional certificate; work experience certificate with salary account statements, ITR statements, and CV.
The Executive M.Tech in Reservoir Engineering classes will be conducted in a hybrid mode. There will be online theory classes on weekdays. Classes for the practical courses will be conducted in offline mode.
The course is structured across four semesters over two years. Candidates completing the course within three years will have to study for six semesters.
If any student cannot complete the programme, he or she is eligible for the certificate and PG Diploma subject. Once a student clears all the courses including lab courses for 1st semester, he or she will get a certificate. For a PG Diploma, students have to complete the first-year subjects.
