For students belonging to SC, ST and PWD categories must secure a minimum of 65% of marks in their class 12th board examinations or they must be from the list of category wise top 20 percentile in their respective class 12th equivalent board examinations for JEE advance. Choose EE if you loved a lot of calculations, algorithms, circuits and have interest in modern technologies like IoT, Analytics, Electronics , Robotics and Machine Learning. You will have options to go in Core Electrical, Electronics and Analog Design as well as Machine Learning/IT/Software fields.

Go with the CSE, at Kanpur/Kharagpur. I would suggest IIT kanpur as it has a more robust coding culture and a tech culture overall.

You can easily travel to Kanpur from Chandigarh, as Kanpur is well connected city. The reason I recommend CS at IIT Kanpur is because computer science is the best branch when it comes to placements. Moreover, CS is also the fastest growing engineering branch with many big companies hiring for the CS engineers.

Both IIT Roorkee and IIT Kanpur are one of the recognized colleges of India for pursuing Mechanical Engineering. Due to the NIRF Ranking, placement statistics, and College values, IIT Kanpur is one notch better than IIT Roorkee for pursuing Mechanical Engineering.

IIT Kanpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India.

Firstly it depends upon your interest of stream you want to pursue further but if you want to compare then i think nsut will be better in terms of placement and as well as there is a huge scope in computer science nowadays
Av. Package - 7.75 lakhs in nsut.
But there is an iit tag which every student wants and electrical is one of the core branches and average package is 7 lakhs in iit kanpur.
So the last choice will be yours to decide based on your interests , so choose wisely.

IIT Bombay Metallurgy and IIT Madras Chemical both are excellent options with excellent opportunitues in all of Core, Non Core, IT, Software and Analytics Sectors.

Perhaps when making a choice between the above two, I would suggest you to choose the Institute at vicinity of your hometown. Both the Branches have equally great Placements, Academic Outlook, Research opportunitues and Infrastructure.

I would say IIT Roorkee civil department. When the school was opened in 1847, it had been solely for the aim of engineering , hence, the oldest engineering department in India. It has few of India’s best engineering faculties also as labs and instruments.

Mathematics and Computing is a good course although not as much as in demand as for CSE. Since they are top ranked universities in the nation and there is not exactly much of a difference in the quality of education since they will be given maximum attention and facilities. But due to the ranking of various factors I would suggest this university. It all comes down to your choice of course. IF you are choosing to take CSE, you can take CSE BTech in IIT Bhubaneshwar since you can choose your specialisation to take MTech later. But if you plan on taking Mathematics and Computing, then you can take IIT Kanpur since it is a higher ranked university.

And it also matters that what is your personal choice of course since they are different departments.

IIT Kanpur has a good infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. Hello, it also depends on your interest for branch and all three IIT comes under top IIT of India and are highly ranked in Nirf Engineering ranking.

But I would recommend you to go with IIT Madras as it is ranked first among all Engineering colleges of India in Nirf Engineering ranking of 2020 and IIT Madras placement of mechanical engineering are good and for priority basis first is IIT Madras second is IIT Kanpur then IIT Bombay.
