Eligibility Criteria

To enrol in the Machining Science online training by Swayam, you must have completed basic manufacturing engineering courses before enrolling. 

Certificate Qualifying Details

Swayam also allows you to earn an e-certificate on completing the Machining Science syllabus, provided you fulfill the two certification qualifying criteria. Firstly, your average marks for the weekly assignments must be 10 out of 25 or above. Only three out of four weekly assignments will be considered for the evaluation, which will have a 25% weightage of the final score.

Secondly, you must appear for the proctored exam when the Machining Science training ends and secure at least 30/75 or above to qualify for the certificate. The exam score will have a 75% weightage of the final score.

Additionally, the final marks by combining your average assignment and final exam score must be 40 or more. If you fail to achieve any of the criteria mentioned above, you will not receive the e-certificate.

Evaluation process

Swayam conducts an offline examination when the Machining Science online program ends. The exams will be held in various exam centers spread across the country. It will be an in-person exam in the presence of a proctor. You can appear for the exam in the morning batch or the afternoon batch. An examination fee of Rs. 1,000 is also required for exam registration.
