Course Overview

The Solar Photovoltaics: Principles, Technologies and Materials online programme is curated by IIT Kanpur. It is an elective course which runs for a duration of eight weeks. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for taking admission in the Solar Photovoltaics online program, candidates must have a background in Physics or some basic knowledge about the subject. 

To evaluate the candidate's performance, Swayam gives 75% weightage to the marks scored in the certification exam and 25% weightage in the internal assessments. 

If the candidate scores at least 30/75 in the certification exam and at least 10/25 as the average internal assessment score, they will be eligible for certification. To calculate the average internal assessment score, Swayam considers the six-best scored assignments submitted by the candidates.

Application Details

The Solar Photovoltaics certification doesn't require candidates to complete an application form. Candidates merely need to fill a sign-up form if they want to create an account in Swayam. If they already have an account, they can sign-in by entering their email ID, username and password. Candidates can also sign-in using their Facebook ID, Google account, or Microsoft social account.

Evaluation process

Candidates who want the course certificate must appear for a certification exam once the Solar Photovoltaics course ends. They need to fill an exam registration form and pay the requisite fee when Swayam opens the exam registration.

The exam will be conducted offline under the invigilation of a proctor. Candidates need to report to the designated exam center on the specified date and time. The exam will be held in either the morning session or the afternoon session.
