In the Analog Communication course by Swayam, candidates will learn about the two building blocks of communication - Signals and Systems. They will understand how information is generated, how it can be transmitted to a distant user, and how the user interprets it. The information that needs to be transmitted and delivered to the user is known as a Signal.
Candidates will learn about different channels or media for transmission of signals. They will learn about the inherent imperfections of these media and how to combat and overcome them to facilitate effective communication. Also, they will learn about Noise, which is an unwanted, random signal that hinders communication.
Candidates participating in the Analog Communication programme will learn how to design systems that can filter out the noise and deliver effective communication. This is an undergraduate level programme created by IIT Kharagpur, and focuses on the engineering aspects of analog communication.
