Biomicrofluidics certification is a course that has been the design, and presentation of both NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur. This certificate course takes 4 full weeks to get over, and the level of this both is undergraduate or postgraduate where the credit point offered is one. Biomicrofluidics falls under the interdisciplinary domain that is known for using both microfluidics, and nanofluidics with the living system’s science so that medical diagnosis and drug delivery can be progressed further.
Biomicrofluidics training will help with any emerging research field so that diseases can be understood by having a perspective in engineering along with aiding the development of diagnostic, portable, and inexpensive platforms. This will identify a person who is bearing any disease even present in a small body of fluid in the blood. Ultimately this certification course will demonstrate the fusion of both engineering, and biology streams for the progression of diseases, and the development of biological assay procedures which are tedious in nature that includes affordable diagnostic kits.

The Biomicrofluidics certification syllabus provided knowledge of some topics like Electrokinetics, Biomicrofluidics, Genetic Analysis, Organs on a chip, and loads more. This course will guide the engineers, and biologists with the introductory conceptualization of cell biology, and the fluidic transport of microscale.
Any background in engineering or biology may appear to be fruitful for application to this programme, as no other prerequisite condition is required. Hence biologists and engineers can opt for this course if they want to pursue their interest in Biomicrofluidics.
Here are the steps for the Biomicrofluidics classes admission process:
Step 1: Follow Swayam’s official website: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc21_bt24/preview.
Step 2: Then candidates need to make Swayam registered accounts.
Step 3: When course registration is successful, the candidates may start accessing the course.
Step 4: For certification, paying the exam fee becomes mandatory.
Filling in the form for the examination online on Swayam is a must for its participants enrolling for the Biomicrofluidics programme. But for accessing the programme contents only, signing in with a personal email id, name, and mobile number is enough.
The final certification for the candidates depends on whether they have secured total marks of 40 out of 100 from assignments and end the exam totally. The candidates will be given 4 assignments where out of 3 securing 10/25 is a must. Simultaneously from the final exam, securing 30/75 is a requisite. The total must mount to 40/100 for the certificate to be released. Not fulfilling any of the above minimum marks will cancel the final certificate.
Under no possible circumstances, the candidates shall be eligible for certification if they receive less than 25 marks in their final exam.
Already more than 1200 students have enrolled.
Professors, Tapas Kumar Maiti, and Suman Chakraborty are the ones looking after the programme contents.
The particular category is Bioengineering, along with Biological Sciences.
Fortunately, during the admission process, no interview sessions are held.
