Course Overview

The Discrete-Time Signal Processing certification course is an eight-week-long online program brought to you by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. The main objective of the course is to reinforce the basic Discrete-Time Signal Processing (DSP) concepts. You will learn all the properties of discrete-time signals and systems during the course duration.

The Discrete-TimeSignal Processing program by Swayam will cover central concepts of DSP, including stability, rational models, causality, sampling of analog Fourier transform, and discrete-time structures. You will also learn how to design discrete-time systems to perform certain types of processing. Various topics under electrical engineering will be touched by the training curriculum.

The Discrete-Time Signal Processing training also aims to teach several ideas and dimensions of DSP that are not available in general books. Vital concepts such as polyphase decomposition, interpolation, and decimation will also be taught in this online program. You also have an opportunity to get an e-certificate after fulfilling certain criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

There is no prerequisite to enrol in the Discrete-Time Signal Processing course. Still, some familiarity with signals and systems can help in the learning process.

Certificate  Qualifying Details

There will be a total of eight assignments, out of which the best six will be considered for the average assignment score. Also, there will be a written exam as the training finishes. The final score will be computed as the sum of the average assignment score (25% weightage) and exam score (75%). You must score at least 40% in the final score to become eligible for the Discrete-Time Signal Processing certification.

What you will learn

Knowledge of electronics

The Discrete-Time Signal Processing syllabus covers the basics of DSP and discusses various concepts which are not taught in mainstream material. Post-completion, you should be clear on:

  • Fundamental concepts of Discrete-Time Signal Processing
  • Fourier transform
  • Designing discrete-time systems
  • Properties of discrete-time systems

Who it is for

The Discrete-Time Signal Processing training by Swayam is mainly designed for industrial and academic professionals. It is also very helpful for undergraduate (BTech) students to learn the basics of DSP and postgraduate (MTech) students to refresh their understanding of the subject.
