The Bioreactors online course begins by introducing some of the fundamental quantities that need to be used while working with bioreactors. For example, specific growth rate, yield coefficient, etc. Then, after studying some introductory kinetics, candidates will look at the different kinds of bioreactor operations, and analyze them.
Later on in the Bioreactors online programme, candidates will move beyond the black-box approach and start looking at what exactly happens inside a bioreactor. They will study the cells inside the bioreactor, which are the actual factories that produce a product. They will learn how to optimize these to give us the products we need, in the way that we need them.
The four-week Bioreactors certification programme benefits not only undergraduate students from Biotechnology, Biological, Chemical, and Biochemical Engineering programmes, but even experienced scholars in their MS, ME, or PhD. Teachers can also take this course, to better understand the fundamental concepts, and reach higher levels of instruction.
