Design thinking is a systematic method and a unique approach to problem-solving. It is an innovative process that offers a solution-based and hands-on approach to human-centric problems. Design Thinking- A Primer online program is an elective faculty development program that will introduce you to the concept of design thinking and its use to make our lives better and easier.
The Design Thinking - A Primer certification falls under Management Studies and is an AICTE approved program. You can learn this course for four weeks and there are no prerequisites attached to it. Hence, you only need to be interested in the subject to enrol in the free program. Moreover, the IIT Madras faculty has designed this comprehensive course, and it will be delivered in the form of video lectures.
The program also includes multiple live sessions that you can attend to learn more about the course curriculum. After completing the Design Thinking- A Primer training, you can earn the course completion certificate by qualifying for the written proctored exam with a valid score.

Certificate Qualifying Details
For the Design Thinking - A Primer certificate, you must fulfill the two-part eligibility criteria. First, submit all the assignments to achieve a decent assignment score equal to or more than 10/25. Next, register and attend the proctored exam and achieve a minimum of 30/75. The final score will be calculated by combining the assignment and exam score, and it must be over 40/100 to be eligible for the course certificate.

There is no application form to register in the Design Thinking- A Primer online program. However, you must sign in to the website by either creating a new Swayam account or by logging in using your existing Facebook/Microsoft/Google accounts. Also, enter a username and set up a password to log in to your account and start learning. To take the exam, candidates will have to appear for the proctored exam for which they will have to fill an online registration form along with the payment of the fee.
The Design Thinking - A Primer certification exam will be held on 24 April 2021 in multiple exam centers. You will be provided with a list of centers where you can take the exam in any of the two-time slots. The exam will be proctored and three hours long, and you must submit the registration form to apply. More details will be revealed after you submit the form.
