The Introduction to Film Studies online course does not require the candidates to satisfy any minimum requirements. 

Certification qualifying details 

Students who are interested in obtaining the  Introduction to Film Studies certification need to appear for the end-of-the-term proctored exam. Students are required to secure an average minimum score of 10/25 in their internal assignments and a minimum score of 30/75 in the end-term exam. 

It is important to note that failing to secure the minimum marks in either internal assignments or the end-term exam can lead to the student being ineligible for certification.

The Syllabus

Evaluation process

Candidates who aspire to receive the Introduction to Film Studies certification are required to be present for the end-of-the-term proctored examination held at the designated exam centres. The date of the exam is provided online. It will be held in two sessions - forenoon and afternoon. 

To register for the exam, students will have to wait until the online registration URL has been published. Interested students can place their application for the exam on the same link alongside cross-checking for their exam centres in the desired city. 

In order to be eligible for a certificate students are mandated to secure an average, internal assignment score >=10/25 and an exam score >=30/75. It is important to fulfil both the requirements; otherwise, the students will not be eligible for certification (irrespective of the total score achieved).  The final score is a sum of the average assignment score and the end-of-the-term exam score. 

The average assignment score is 25% of the average of the 8/12 best internal assignments. The end-of-the-term score is 75% of the proctored exam score secured out of 100.
