Non-destructive testing is an integral part of quality control, structural health monitoring, and flaw detection. It has many applications in industries related to manufacturing and production. To join the Theory and Practice of Non-Destructive Testing program, you must have a diploma or graduate degree in these engineering disciplines: Applied mechanics, Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil, Production, Manufacturing, Materials engineering.
To secure a certificate, you must ensure the minimum passing marks in assignments and the offline exam. Adding these scores according to their weightage will give you the final score.
Assignments carry 25% of the weightage. You must submit all the assignments. The best six out of the eight assignments will be considered and averaged to find your assignment score. The minimum passing assignment score is 10/25.
The offline exam carries 75% of the weightage. You must appear for the exam and secure at least 30/75.
The minimum passing final score is 40/100.

You can join the Theory and Practice of Non-Destructive Testing by Swayam using these steps:
Step 1: Visit the Swayam website at https://swayam.gov.in/ and click on the ‘Sign-in/Register.’
Step 2: Sign in, sign up or log in according to your credentials.
Step 3: In the search box that says ‘Search catalog’, run a search for ‘Theory and Practice of Non-Destructive Testing.
Step 4: If the course is available in the ‘Upcoming (Enrollment Open)’ column, click on the join.
The Theory and Practice of Non-Destructive Testing program have no registration form for joining. All you need to do is register an account on the Swayam website.
To register yourself, you need to provide a valid email address and choose a username and password. The email address will be verified for authentication. If you have an existing Swayam account, you can use that to log in instead of signing up. You can also decide to skip the signing up process altogether by using your Google, Facebook, or Microsoft account.
If you want to appear for the offline exam, you need to fill up an online registration form.

There will be two slots available, 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
