Course Overview

The current power distribution system’s power quality has been debased by many factors such as adjustable speed drive, unbalanced and balanced load, distributed sources, supply disturbances, etc. The Power Quality Improvement Technique programme is designed by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. Learners will explore the major problems of this system.

The Power Quality Improvement Technique certification programme will discuss how power quality issues can be reduced by utilising active and passive filters. This eight-week-long online course explains the economic and functional aspects of these filter technologies. Also, you will study how active power systems are better at improving power quality in advanced power systems as compared to passive power systems.

The Power Quality Improvement Technique online course is also a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) approved by the AICTE. You will be taught via 20 hours of quality video content, weekly assignments and online discussion boards. This elective course also offers an e-certificate on the fulfilment of certain eligibility criteria.
