Course Overview

Curated by IIT Roorkee, the Processing of Polymers and Polymer Composites programme classifies engineering materials and processes to produce polymers. From the initial to secondary processing stages, learners will know the challenges and opportunities linked as well. This AICTE-approved FDP curriculum aims at a postgraduate level of study by covering topics usually left out in undergraduate studies of polymer manufacturing.

The Processing of Polymers and Polymer Composites certification syllabus is spread across eight weeks. The concepts covered during this core programme include extrusion, thermoforming, compression, injection moulding, and transfer moulding. Course-takers will also solve numerical problems, submit assignments, and review case studies throughout the study.

Professor Inderdeep Singh from the Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering department at IIT Roorkee mentors the learners. By paying an examination fee, students can sit for the certifying test. The Processing of Polymers and Polymer Composites certification requires learners to secure the minimum marks mentioned for the average assignment and proctored test scores.
