Hello,

It is very difficult to get the non core branches in NIT /IIIT / GFTIs because the cut offs are way higher. But if you home state belongs to one of these NITs then it is quite possible that you may get ece branch. The NITs like Mizoram, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Srinagar are much available in this rank.

But if not then i would suggest you to go for GFTIs like BIT Mesra, Assam University, Kongri Vishwavidyalaya.

If you want to check out the colleges you can get, you can check out the link given below -

Hey,

Firstly, CRL rank is needed.

Predicting college depends on number of factors such as:

  • Difficulty level of examination
  • Number of candidates willing for a particular college and branch
  • Home state in case of NITs

Here's is the list of colleges you can consider with this rank:

NIT Goa, NIT Sikkim, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Manipur, NIT Mizoram, NIT Raipur, NIT Agartala, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Durgapur, NIY Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, HBTU, IIiT Surat, etc.

Hey,

Atfirst many many congratulations for your rank. We all know that since NTA hasn't released the official cut-off details for the topmost NITs, IIITs till now it's quite impossible for anyone to make any accurate remark about your admission possibilities.

So I would like to recommend you to go through this following Careers360 article to get a detailed-oriented and crystal clear conception regarding previous year's cutoff marks:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-iiits https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-gftis

Now here I should mention here that the cut-off marks are bound to vary on the basis of several determining factors like

  • number of appeared canditates,
  • number of successful candidates,
  • total number of available seats,
  • highest marks of JEE MAIN'22
  • difficulty level of examination etc.

Still it can be estimated that being a General-UR candidate (as you've not mentioned about your category, so I've considered you as General candidate) you've enough possibilities to get admitted in the topmost and renowned NITs like NIT Patna, NIT Durgapur, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Mizoram, NIT Srinagar, NIT Agartala, NIT Sikkim, NIT Hamirpur etc; esteemed IIITs like IIIT Agartala, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Ranchi, IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Andhra Pradesh, IIIT Kota, IIIT Kottayam etc and in also some top and eminent GFTIs like 'Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management-Ahmedabad', 'Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur', 'Assam University, Silchar', 'Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology' etc.

Moreover you can get many other top rated Government Engineering Colleges with your marks through State Level Counseling, you should also look into it.

You can also use Careers360 JEE MAIN college predictor tool to know your admission chances through JOSSA and State Level Counselling: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hello Aspirant

Sorry to say that if you are from general category then it's hard to get NIT or IIIT. I would suggest you to apply for the state counselling process and also try for some good private colleges. You should also apply for the Josaa counselling as it is free, means you have to pay nothing as the registration fees.

You can use this link to find some colleges based on your percentile :-

Greetings!

At this ranks chances of you getting any, NIT or IIIT in any round whatsoever is highly unlikely. Maybe in CSAB rounds you can get some northeaster NIT that to in mechanical/chemical or production branch.

Other than that there is no possibility and that possibility too is very slim.

However NITs/IIITs aren't the only colleges in India, you can use following predictor to estimate which college you can get

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Hello,

It is not possible for you to get renowned IIITs and that too cse or ece branch because the cut offs are way too high . You can try for IIIT Kottayam, IIIT bhagalpur , IIIT Kancheepuram.

However it would be better if you try for some lower branches like production, metallurgy, civil, textile engineering.

If you want to check out the colleges you can get , you can take the help of college predictor link given below -

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Hello,

With 79 percentile being from obc category let me tell you that it's difficult to get a seat in IIITs but you can surely get in GFTIs . You can try for colleges like Gurughasidas bilaspur, Kongri Vishwavidyalaya, BIT Mesra, Assam University  .

However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like choices filled by the candidates, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper .

If you want to check out the colleges you can get , you can check out the link given below -
