The Global Challenge of Vector-Borne Diseases and How to Control Them training is a six weeks online course. The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine provided and designed this course, which was delivered via the FutureLearn platform. This course was explained by James Logan, Michael Coleman, and Scott Tytheridge.

Learn how to control mosquitos and other arthropod disease vectors. The spread of vector-borne diseases such as malaria, Zika virus, and dengue fever is a worldwide concern. The World Health Organization (WHO) published the Global Vector Control Response (GVCR) document in 2017, which advocates for a more robust, strategic global approach to disease vector control. The Aedes mosquito and the Zika virus, as well as the tsetse fly and African sleeping sickness, will be covered in this course. Users will investigate the WHO GVCR document, as well as how vector-borne diseases spread and the effectiveness of vector control practices designed to prevent the spread of these dangerous diseases.
