You will get other branches too in all the Lovely Professional University campus. Go and participate in counselling, you will get CSE with that rank.

Lpu is one of the fancy colleges which are available on the education scene. 

although they are a tad bit expensive, they provide a good name and placements are good as well

just kidding

eligibility of any government job after graduation is just graduation.. LPU is also a university providing bachelor degree .so no doubt there will be no problem in applying for any exam or job demanding eligibility criteria a bachelor's degree

so it's totally safe  pursuing B.Tech from any college having registered affiliation with any AICTE approved university (like AKTU.. )including LPU.

so without any worry you can go for it.

but lemme tell you there are some boundations of branch in some of government jobs so excluding those limits( CS students can't give IES by their stream.. maybe for IAS too)... you're eligible for any general degree

the placements of computer science department in thapar university is quite good as per the placement record of 2019 in computer science department , there were 994 job offer being rolled out by various companies, the highest package they offered is of 39 LPA and the average is of 7 LPA, there are top core companies visits the campus and recruit student in bulk , some of the best companies visited are amazon, microsoft and DE shaw , infosys etc. however there is no placement cell in university , there are group of faculty which take care of drives conducted for the placement.

talking about placements of lovely professional university there are 650 companies visited the campus and the highest package they offered is of 42 LPA and the highest stipend also touched rs 80,000 for the final placements , as per the university officials , students of LPU received the highest number of appointment letters in the region , the top companies visited the campus are google,accenture,TCS,capgemini,tech mahindra , voltas and many more

Both are decent private universities with decent placements. But comparatively, Thapar University has got a little edge over LPU because of great education facilities and available faculty. The placements are almost similar. Infrastructure wise again THAPAR University is better. But when it comes to fees, Thapar charges a lot more than LPU for the btech course. THAPAR University is ranked 12 but has a fees of 16 lakhs approximately for the btech course. LPU Phagwara is ranked 35th and has a fees of 10.05 lakhs roughly for the full btech course. So depending upon this information, and choosing any differential criteria, you can choose the one which suits you more...

As per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the LPU for Bsc Agriculture a candidate who has scored 80% or above in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English,Physics ,Chemistry &either Maths or Biology ot Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after  10th,LPUNEST or NEET will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

if You have tons of money and want to study in a unique environment then you can go to LPU or if you want to study in a real and average budget then You can opt for DIT dehradun both are about same standard but as the fee matters and good studies DIT is better option
