Yes, Lovely Professional University (LPU) Jalandhar is considered to be a well ranked University among private universities. And the placements there are nice. It's department of Computer Application md technology is full of good faculty. If you are considering both the universities then I would like to tell you about the placement and infrastructure of both the universities.

Placements:

The placements for CSE at Thapar are excellent. Companies like Deshaw, Microsoft, Amadeus Lab, Hikari, Hike, and many more visit regularly. Other departments also have decent placements.LPU is fairly new but companies like Honda, Amazon, Cognizant visit there.

Infrastructure :

In LPU all the classes are air-conditioned with a good teacher-student ratio. The entire campus is WiFi enabled and the residential facilities are also good. Students can either select air cooled or air-conditioned rooms which are affordable with 3 seater rooms starting at 56000 and AC rooms 66000. In Thapar University There are four tennis courts, one football cum race track, one cricket ground, two basketball courts, volleyball ground and one extra ground for those who can play anything in it. Academic buildings are also quite good.

The quality of education at LPU for CSE branch is amazing. Proper quality study material is provided by the college which is available both online and offline.

The faculties are well renowned in the field and they keep you up to date in terms of syllabus and latest industry trends too.

The placements in LPU is quite good as Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc. big companies & other multinational & national companies come for the campus placements

Overall everything is fine at LPU and is a better chouce in terms of academics.
