Madhusudan Law University (MLU) Cuttack is a state university established on April 28, 2021, by the Government of Odisha. The university is named after Madhusudan Das, the first graduate and first advocate of Odisha. MLU Cuttack offers courses including a three-year LL.B, a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B (Hons), LL.M, and PhD in Law. Depending on the course, the eligibility criteria differ for admission to its courses. 

The selection of candidates for admission to courses at the Madhusudan Law University is based on the entrance test conducted by the university. The entrance test consists of 100 questions on General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Constitutional/Legal Awareness, General English, and Reasoning. Admissions are done through online mode. The candidates have to fill out the application form available on the university website and pay the application fee through online mode. 

The facilities at the MLU Cuttack include well-equipped classrooms, a library, computer labs, a moot court hall, a seminar hall, an auditorium, a health centre, a gymnasium, a sports area, hostels, a cafeteria and others. The university also arranges various academic and co-curricular activities for the students, such as seminars, workshops, symposiums, internship opportunities, moot court competitions, legal aid camps and cultural events. Madhusudan Law University is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
