Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU) Karnal is a state university recognised by the UGC. It was established in 2016 after the approval from the Governor of Haryana state. The university offers various programmes in the Horticulture discipline. 

MHU Karnal courses are available at postgraduate and doctoral levels. MHU Karnal PG courses include M.Sc programmes in three specialisations namely Fruit Science, Vegetable Science and Floriculture and Landscape Architecture. The duration of the courses is two years.

MHU Karnal Doctoral courses cover Ph.D programmes in three specialisations namely Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture and Landscape Architecture. Candidates aspiring to be admitted to the college need to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria. 

MHU Karnal admissions are offered based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be held by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU). Candidates need to attend physical counselling and document verification rounds after qualifying for the examination. The college provides a student-friendly environment to students.
