Mahatma Gandhi University Tura was established in the year 2011. The main objective of MGU is to provide the best quality education to their students. Mahatma Gandhi University is empowered to award degrees as specified by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. Different branches in which the courses are offered are Medical Laboratory Technology, Political Sciences, Computer Applications, Rural Management and many more.

College provided great infrastructure with high maintained facilities. Well equipments laboratories, libraries, hostels are provides for well being if the students. Clean living space with clean floor and hygiene is provided
