Hey Yaduvanshi,
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on securing such an appealing score in your boards as well as competitive examinations. Also, you have made up your mind for a very reputed and reliable institute.
The M.B.M. Engineering College (Mugneeram Bangur Memorial Engineering College, MBM ) is considered one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. Established with the government of Rajasthan, It has begun to offer engineering courses in association with the Jodhpur University since 1962. Among the many courses it offers, the one you seek, i.e. mechanical engineering is a noteworthy one. It’s a private college approved by the AICTE.
The MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur offers B.tech course for under graduation for twelve remarkable branches/streams. As you would surely know, the duration of this course would be 4consecutive years. Apart from mechanical engineering, the other courses offered under engineering specifically are computer science engineering, information technology, civil, electronic and computer engineering, production and industrial engineering, chemical engineering, mining engineering, and many more.
The fees for the complete course is INR 2, 20,000-3, 15,000 and I must say is worth it. The mode of application for this college is online and the application form must be filled, which is made available at the official college website. All you have to do it type the name of the college in your browser and you will find it.
Coming to the most important part that is Eligibility.

Hi,
If we compare both of these institutes on the perspective of placements, MBM Jodhpur stands better. The average salary package in MBM Jodhpur varies from 5-7 LPA while in UIET , the median salary package is 3.5-5 LPA. The highest package in MBM Jodhpur can go as high upro 18-20 LPA. UIET is average in terms of placements. If we come onto the point of Campus Life, UIET is better as PU is the top universities in the country and has lot of fests, youth festival, inter college or university competitions than MBM Jodhpur as it is a University.
Read more about both these institutes over here:
MBM Jodhpur: https://www.careers360.com/colleges/mbm-engineering-college-jodhpur .UIET:
Hi Candidate,
MBM Jodhpur is one the oldest engineering colleges not only in Rajasthan but in all over India which is located in Jodhpur. The college offers undergraduate courses such as B.Tech, B.E., B. Arch and postgraduate courses such as M.Tech.
For getting a seat in Post graduation, the selection is done through mainly GATE Score. The selection criteriaria for undergraduate engineering course depends on the JEE Mains Score, where the General Category Cut-off is nearly equal to 90 percentile.
Hope that this answer helps you. All The Best!!
Hello,
Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) conducts the Rajasthan Leep to offer admission to the 2nd year engineering course in the participating institutes in Rajasthan .The authorities will not conduct any separate entrance exam, admission will be done on the basis of merit. There will be approximately 4 rounds of Rajasthan LEEP 2020 counselling and after each round, seat allotment will be done. In order to be eligible for admissions in Rajasthan LEEP 2020, candidates will have to pass a diploma in engineering or graduated in science stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject . The eligibility criteria will be different for various categories and only those candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for it. During counselling the authorities will allot seats to the candidates on the basis of choices filled by them and other factors such as marks scored by them in the qualifying examination . Dear aspirant,
MBM College of Engineering is a government institute. Getting admission in this Institute requires filling of choices through REAP Counselling. In this Institute, only the vacant seats are filled by the spot round. Spot round of counselling occurs only after all rounds of REAP counselling are over. Further more, the most important thing to notify is, spot round counselling occurs generally only for self finance scheme branches. Since Civil and electrical engineering our core branches, it is highly unlikely that you will get admission in MBM College of Engineering in these branches through spot round of counselling. In spot round of counselling, the general branch that you make get is electronics and communication and IT. So I hope you understand the gravity of the situation. The spot round of counselling shall be notified only in the newspapers only in case there is vacancy in the seats of the branches in the institute.
In my perspective, instead of waiting for the spot round of counselling, you should look for other alternative colleges which you may seek for admission for pursuing graduation. This way you will have a backup rather than waiting on a single option. You should explore your options and should compare various colleges in order to see which college is best for admission. In order to compare colleges based on their merits and demerits all you need to do is just click on this link:-

This is a powerful comparison tool which compares colleges based on their advantages and disadvantages. Now while comparing make sure that you focus on key areas like placements, internships, infrastructure, qualified professors, etc.
I hope this information was helpful to you. Good luck.
Hello student,
Yes, you can change your branch, as per engineering rules there is a chance to change your branch for second year not only branch you can even change your college too but for that your first year i.e, 1st and second semester scores should be more and the branch or college you are willing to join must have seat availability or vacancy.
Best of luck for your future.
Hostel condition is not good and course is okay but not great. Too many subjects in final year which is not normal. Training/internship period is small. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Classrooms are old but okay. Library is good but management can be improved. Medical facilities are almost nil. No medical personnel, little awareness about medical facilities available to students. But they're working on it.
College campus is old stabilised and looking good . Here is a big library in it. Where many book are placed in it. Playground is big and many games are played there. Overall campus is good for study in it.
College infrastructure is good but old styled. There are many new department are stabilized for petrolium engineering, computer science and chemical engineering. 1st year lecture halls are not in good condition.
