Also many rankings on the various websites suggest NIT Rourkela among the top institutes of the country. NITR has a pretty well developed infrastructure in terms of academic buildings classrooms, hostels, sports facilities, etc.

Also for pursuing EE degree, NIT Rourkela is a great option as there are good chance that you get placed as students are allowed to sit for core, analytics and software profiles and you will get many job opportunities. So you need not worry about placements.

So overall i suggest you to proceed with NIT Rourkela

MNNIT Allahabad is one of the recognized NITs of India. Any core branches like CSE, ECE, CE, ME, and EEE will be the better choice over any other NITs (except the First four NITs) or IIITs.

Therefore, I will suggest ECE in MNNIT Allahabad over IT/ECE at IIIT Allahabad. Placements at MNNIT Allahabad is far better than IIIT Allahabad. It has an average package of 8 lakhs, and Highest goes over 40 lakh CTC.

Faculties, Infrastructure, and Course Structure is also optimum good.

Based upon your rank , category , state and situation . You can try new iit's (like IIT Jammu , Goa , Pallakad , Dharwad ) . You may get cse branch inast counselling . Also if you want to try many top state government colleges (like Punjab Engineering College (PEC) , Thapar University ,YMCA ) in Delhi - NCR , Haryana , Faridabad . It will be a piece of cake for you . Also you should try IIIT'S (like Bhubaneswar , Delhi ) till last counselling .

Firstly you should choose stream on the basis of your interest not on placements and colleges. But if you really want to compare then nit Allahabad is definately a good choice in terms of placements, faculty and infrastructure . And also electrical has also a good scope after doing btech from a reputed college but at last this should be based upon your choices of interest so choice wisely .

Now as you have got electrical engineering branch in mnnit allahabad in mock seat allotment, still there are no surety of getting electrical engineering in main josaa round counseling. Because this mock seat allotment is on approximate basis and it depends on the choices you have filled. In josaa main round counseling the original seat allotment results would be shown. Mock seat allotment is basically for students to get a rough idea of colleges that they might get on basis of their order of filled choices of colleges . And in josaa main round counseling, there are chances that the mock seat results will not remain same.

Because, last year the cutoff closing ranks for female general category candidates in electrical engineering branch for mnnit allahabad was :-

Home state candidates - 16818
Other state candidates - 15263

And for male candidate it was 11439 (for home state) and 10445 (for other state).

So, if you are a male candidate, then the chances are hard for you to get electrical engineering in mnnit allahabad. But for a female candidate getting electrical engineering in mnnit allahabad would be easier.

But still apart from electrical engineering you can get other good branches in mnnit allahabad during josaa main rounds counselling.

Definitely, being in a Circuital branch definitely gives you an advantage over your peers, when you sit for Software/IT/Analytics Placements. Companies like Flipkart, Amazon, PayTM ,Microsoft are regular recruiters at NIT Allahabad. EE is one of the few branches where you have opportunities extending from Core to Non Core to Analog Design and Electronic Materials.

MNNIT Allahabad is much reputated and have good ranking in  compare wit nit jalandhar. So going to reputated college will give you a gret exposure and placement and internship opportunity is more in mnnit.

Since you want to do mba so basically institute doesn't matter it upon on your entrance exam score .

But still go for mnnit allahabad over nit jalandhar

In each NIT there is a option to change branch. But change of branch depends upon following criteria.

1. Whether there is any seat available in your preferred branch or not.
2. You need to be the topper of your batch as there will be counselling as per CGPA achieved in 1st year.

As you might know tha CSE branch has always better in terms of overall placements than any branch. So I think you should prefer CSE in NIT Jalandhar than EE in Nit Allahabad because NIT Jalandhar is also good NiT.

Second thing is to follow your interest rather than thinking about placements. So it's totally depends on your preference.

Hello, if you have interest in a specific branch then you can go with that branch.
Otherwise I would recommend you to go with Nit Allahabad as it is a top Nit and it's placement, infrastructure are better than Nit Patna.
Also, Civil Engineering is a good branch if you work hard and learn subjects of Civil Engineering then you will have chances to get good placement.

Nit Patna is also good college with electrical engineering but Nit Allahabad is best among both.
