Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research SAS Nagar. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.


Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must have passed in M.S.(Pharm.) or M.Pharm. or M.Tech.(Pharm.) - [Medicinal Chemistry / Natural Products/ Pharmacology & Toxicology/ Formulation/ Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutics/ Pharmacoinformatics];M.E. or M.Tech. – [Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Computational Sciences]; M.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Botany/Zoology/ Physiology/Life Sciences); M.Sc in Chemistry (Organic)/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Computational Sciences; M.V.Sc.; MCA from any recognized university.

Admission Details

Admission to the Ph.D. Programme will be based on the combined merit obtained by a candidate in the entrance examination and interview. Interview of the eligible candidates for the Ph.D. Programme will be conducted based on the merit in the entrance examination.
