They offer jobs through their placements irrespective of the branch you belong to. Hence you will be eligible for software jobs provided you clear their tests and interviews and satisfy their criteria. Hello student. Both the branches are totally different. integrated mathematics and biotechnology are two of different branches. So, choose the branch which you are intrested in. When it comes to colleges. NIT rourkela has higher ranking than NIT durgapur. S, I suggest you that college.

NIT rourkela has a good infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.

Fa culty and quality of education:

All the faculties are qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the theoretical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.

NIT Rourkela is one of the premier engineering institutes in India and the Department of Mathematics is an independent department in the institute. The Department of Mathematics at NIT Rourkela is specialized in creating human resources in the area of Algebraic topology, Functional analysis, Artificial intelligence, Boundary value problems, Category theory, Complex analysis, Differential equations, Differentiable manifolds, Fluid dynamics, Fuzzy set and topology, Fractional calculus, Generic algorithm, Lee algebra, Magneto-hydro dynamics and much more. It offers 2 years M.Sc. degree, 5 years integrated M.Sc programme, PhD etc.

When it comes to placements, coaching institutes like Aakash, Empower, Books, Avanti, Concept Educations and some software companies also hire Mathematics students. The average salary offered is about Rs 5 lakhs per annum in coaching centres and the average package offered by tech companies is around 6 LPA. Hey Rithika! Congratulations on your score! According to NIRF 2020, IIT Jodhpur is ranked 53 whereas NIT Rourkela is ranked 16. When it comes to choosing the right college, make sure that you find all the facilities under a single roof. Though it holds the tag of IIT, IIT Jodhpur is not superior to NIT Rourkela.

The facilities available at NIT Rourkela are:

1. Infrastructure : There is good Wi-fi all around the campus. There's a library that constitutes thousands of textbooks and journals, and also video courses. The classes are spacious and are equipped with Projector screens. The Biotechnology lab is well-equipped with latest necessities. Hostels are immaculate and the mess food is good. Plenty of sports courts are available which includes  Cricket, badminton, basketball, football, volleyball, hockey, tennis and swimming.
2. Faculty :  The staffs are highly qualified with masters and doctorate degrees. They are easily approachable. They provide letter of recommendation when a student is excellent.
3. Placements : NIT Rourkela invited 212 recruiters with 1019 offers in 2019, with a highest package of 39.1 lakhs per annum. Placement is very good for CS, EEE, ECE and IT. The packages for Biotechnology varies from 5 to 15 lakhs per annum.

Taking IIT Jodhpur into account,

1. Infrastructure : The college is still under construction and the new campuses are air-conditioned. The library is air-conditioned and houses numerous books. The class rooms are air-conditioned and decent. The sports complex offers various sports courts for cricket, football, kabbadi and badminton, and most are under renewal. Unlimited internet is provided 24*7. The hostel rooms are also air-conditioned with Wi-fi service. The food at the mess and canteen are not so good.
2. Faculty : The staffs are well-qualified but some aren't much experienced like the teachers in other IITs. There are less number of faculties whne compared to the number of students.
3. Placements : Placement packages for CS, EEE and ECE are high with an average of 14 lakhs per annum and highest of 44 lakhs per annum. The average placement percentage including all branches is 89%. Biotechnology branch is new here and the very first batch will be passing out in 2022. Hence, there are no placement records for Biotechnology yet.

You are telling that you got seat in Both Amrita and N.I.T Rourkela both are the good institutions according to their placement history but when compared with the Specifications of the branches as per you ECE is better when you move up with the Core Engg Background and after it VLSI Design or Embedded Systems in M.Tech and Researches etc.. When BioTechnology also plays prominent now a days as it's time for medical devices parks establishment and new Bio-Tech innovations rocking, so please go as per the Interest you have, N.I.T is a Prominent Institute both are good courses and colleges.

The JEE cut off 2020 is decided in the basis of the difficulty level of the exam,previous year cutoff trends, number of seats available at NIT Rourkela and number of candidates who appeared for the exam.Hence it is always difficult to predict the exact possibilities. Chances may also vary with the branch your choosing. Based on previous year trend the cut-off rank for CSE branch for OCB category male under other state quota was 1181 , for ECE - 1788 , mechanical - 3591, electrical - 3459 , civil -5570.Hence,you may have to get minimum above 160 for a decent branch.
