Hello,

NIT Silchar offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, science, humanities and 11 other departments. It is really good in terms of placements. Around 145+ companies visited for placements for the batch 2021-2022. Around 522 students out of 892 students were placed (eligible students were 734).

The highest salary package offered was 41.6 LPA, average package offered was 7.23 LPA and the lowest package offered was 1.74 LPA. Top recruiters were Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Bajaj.

Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, Samsung, Morgan Stanley, OYO, Uber, Nokia, Aditya Birla, Aakash Institute, Ericsson, Cognizant, Huawei Technologies, IBM, Reliance Jio, and many more.

Not particularly, ECE but the median salary offered to students in 2021 was INR 6.80 lakhs per annum.

DTU is a much better option than NIT, Silchar. This is due to a number of reasons. NSIT offers better quality education and oustanding placement opportunities. DTU also has much better infrastructure and facilities. Most of the learning actually happens outside the classrooms . There is no one stopping you to take programming if you are good enough

DTU CSE is surely better than NIT Silchar. DTU is one of the prestigious University in India. Overall, it is a choice that will be worth it.

NIT Silchar is ranked at 46 while NIT Jamshedpur is ranked at 79.

Both the NITs are equally good and have very good facilities and placements. you can take admission in either of them according to the branch you choose.

Please think before you take a branch.  If you are interested in mechanical engineering, then please go for NIT Jalandhar mechanical engineering. If you are interested in electrical engineering, then please go for NIT Jamshedpur Electrical Engineering.

National Institute of Technology , Jalandhar has a higher ranking according to NIRF as compared to National Institute of Technology, Silchar.

NIT Silchar is a good decent college with good placements and very good college culture. Placements: Almost 95% of the students got placed from the electronics and communication engineering branch. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA.

but NIT Jalandhar and NIT jamshedpur is not good enough for ECE.

Facilities on campus include gym, library which houses a large stock of over 75,000 books that corresponds to the needs of all needs of all related engineering field, a large field is maintained meticulously for playing cricket and football.
