Course Overview

edX’s Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS): Part II programme is part 2 of the MBS Professional program developed by the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF). During the four-week duration of this course, you will learn the main differences between agency and non-agency collateralised Mortgage Obligations (CMOs). Plus, you will explore the purpose and structure for creating Platinum (GNMA), Megas (FNMA), and Giants securities (FHLMC).

With the help of the Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS): Part II online course, you will also study the important characteristics of the general kinds of tranches in agency CMOs.
