OSOU Sambalpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur (OSOU) was established in 2015. It is the 15th and the most recent open university in India. The university was established to provide quality education to all sections of the society. The university focuses on education, research and training through the use of updated technology and makes education affordable for the backward and economically weaker sections of the society. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). 

The Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur (OSOU) provides various programmes at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses include BA Hons, B.Com Hons, BBA, MA Sociology, M.Com, M.Sc Cyber Security and many others. There is no such entrance examination for admission. The admission will be done on merit based on the eligibility criteria and the marks obtained at the 12th standard or graduation (whichever applicable).

The university has established regional centres and study centres in different parts of the state to provide support facilities to the students. Skill development centres are also developed by the university. Currently, the university has over 89 study centres covering the state of Odisha. The faculty at OSOU Sambalpur is highly skilled and experienced. The students are provided with proper guidance. Various seminars and guest lectures are offered for the students from time to time.
