Palamuru University is state university in Mahbubnagar, Telangana and was established in 2008. It is a large institution that spans 171 acres and provides 297 courses in 17 degrees programmes. The university has a student population of 13,492 in which 97% of the student population is undergraduate while only 3% are postgraduate students. It is approved by UGC, the Pharmacy Council of India, PCI and the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE and accredited by NAAC.

The university offers various facilities for the students to improve their learning process. I.T. facilities in the campus are also comprised of two central computerised server and internet facilities, separate computerised laboratories for different departments and wireless internet facility all through the facility. The central library with more the 7900 books and 50 periodicals and journal subscriptions is available for the students besides faculty. Sport amenities are available such as badminton court, table tennis and ground games are available in a well-equipped sports club.

Palamuru University provides a variety of academic courses and programmes which totals roughly 297 courses. In terms of education delivery, the institution offers full-time regular courses and online deliveries for its courses. They offer courses for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. 

The admission of students in Palamuru University differs from one course to another. The admission requirements for all classes of undergraduate courses are normally on merit in the qualifying examination. Some master level entrance tests are TSICET conducted for MBA section and there are many other PG entrance test named as OUCET, GPAT, TS EAMCET and TSICET are the entrance exams that the university considers in involving students.
