Prerequisites

Candidates need to either complete an introductory college course in Java programming or Coursera’s Java Programming Specialisation to pursue the course. 

Candidates should have a computer with stable internet connection.

Certification Qualifying Details

Candidates need to complete the 4-week training section to get a certificate. Along with that, it depends upon the method of enrollment candidates have chosen. 1: Will I get university credit after completion ?

The certificate is provided by Coursera itself. It doesn’t carry any university credits.

2: Is enrolment free of cost ?

Coursera provides free enrolment. For accessing most of the contents no one has to pay. During the application process there will be two options. One is free auditing and the other one is purchasing the course. Certification is available only on the purchasing option.

3: What are the advantages of purchasing the course by paying the fee ?

Candidates will gain access to all course contents, including graded assignments, when they purchase the course. The e-certificate will be added to their achievements page upon completion of the course. Candidates can print their certificate or add it to their LinkedIn profile from there.

4: Does Coursera provide scholarships ?

Courses provide financial aid for most of their programmes. Candidates with poor financial background can apply. Eligible candidates will be selected after the reviewing of applications which will take 15 days to complete.

5: When will I get access to the assignments and lecturers ?

It depends upon the way of enrolment. Most of the contents like lecture videos are available in free auditing mode. But the graded assignments and certificate will only be available by purchasing the course. Candidates can purchase the course/ pay the fee before or after the free auditing.
