Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) Faridabad, an 'Institution of National Importance' was established in 2006. RCB Faridabad is established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the auspices of UNESCO.
RCB Faridabad is a part of the Biotech Science Cluster (BSC) and works in tandem with the other institutions in the Cluster. The courses provided by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology Faridabad are M.Sc PhD (integrated), PhD Biostatistics and PhD Bioinformatics. Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships for M.Sc and Ph.D Biotechnology (Integrated) Course- The candidates selected for M.Sc and Ph.D Biotechnology (Integrated) are entitled to receive Ramachandran-DBT fellowship of Rs. 16,000 per month for the first two years of the programme, after which the students must qualify junior/senior fellowships offered by CSIR, ICMR, DBT and other funding agencies. Regional Centre for Biotechnology scholarships for Ph.D programme in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics- The candidates selected for Ph.D programme in Biostatistics or Bioinformatics are entitled to receive a stipend of Rs. 45,000 per month for the first two years of the programme and Rs. 50,000 for the next three years.
