Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, established in 2002, is an agricultural university located in Meerut. SVPUAT Meerut is recognised and funded by the UP government and ICAR. SVPUAT Meerut courses are offered at different levels including diplomas, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. 

SVPUAT Meerut offers 2 diploma programmes, B.Sc Agriculture Hons, B.V.Sc and Animal Husbandry, B.Tech Biotechnology, ME/M.Tech, M.Sc, and MV.Sc courses in various disciplines. They also provide Ph.D programmes in multiple specialisations. Candidates must have a domicile certificate from Uttar Pradesh to apply for courses. For admission at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, candidates are required to take an entrance test- UPCATET and apply for counselling online.

SVPUAT is situated on NH-58, Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Indra Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is 80 km away from the SVPUAT campus. Meerut has good road connectivity with major cities like Delhi, Noida, and Haridwar. It is traversed by NH-58 and NH-119. For bus transportation, there are two main terminals: the Bhainsali bus terminal (10.7 km) and the Sohrab Gate bus terminal (14.1 km).
