About SAU Delhi

South Asian University (SAU) came into existence with the aim to percolate a South Asian consciousness, in Master's and PhD level programmes in Economics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Sociology, International Relations and Legal Studies. The university was established in 2010, by the government of the eight-member nations of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC). These nations include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The university offers post-graduate and doctoral programmes in various disciplines that include economics, computer science, biotechnology, mathematics, sociology, international relations and law. SAU degrees are recognised by all the eight SAARC countries. 

Location: South Asian University (SAU)  is situated at Akbar Bhawan, Satya Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, Delhi. The university is about 14 km away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The nearest railway junction is Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway Station, which is 9  km away from the SAU. Student can also take the facility of DTC bus services to reach the university from any part of Delhi. The nearest metro stations are  Lok-Kalyan Mag, Udyog Bhavan and Jor Bag Metro stations, which are connected by various metro lines of the capital and NCR.

SAU Delhi Admission

 South Asian University (SAU) offers post-graduate and doctoral programmes in various disciplines that include economics, computer science, biotechnology, mathematics, sociology, international relations and law. SAU degrees are recognised by all the eight SAARC countries. The university reserve the 50% seats for Indian students, while 50% of seats are distributed among the SAARC countries and others. Students from outside the SAARC region do not have to take an entrance test and will be admitted on the basis of their past performance. The admission process of postgraduate and Ph.D level programmes are given below:

The admission process for postgraduate programmes:

Eligible candidates need to apply online or offline and pay the application fee.

They need to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance examination.

Finally, selected candidates have to submit their documents at SAU for verification and pay the admission fee.

The admission process for PhD programmes:

Eligible candidates need to apply online or offline and pay the application fee.

They need to appear for the entrance test conducted by SAU.

Unfortunately, this is not only for economics, all subjects have topics listed like this because these will be the topics that will have questions in the exams. These are the broadly mentioned topics and anything under them can Come in the paper. SAU Entrance Exam 2020 contains 100 MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions) on the relevant subjects. There will be 1/4 negative marking for each wrong answer in the SAU Entrance Exam 2020. Topics for Economics are: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Mathematics, Statistics, Development Economics

According to the official website of St Josephs Degree and PG college, the college does not provide a Masters course in Economics unfortunately. But I can provide the list of 3 top  colleges which does provide a MA Economics which can be helpful to you:
