From breakfast to dinner, studies estimate that we make more than 200 food and eating-related decisions every day. These decisions have far-reaching consequences: they affect social, economic, and environmental dimensions in addition to human health. This course will provide you with the knowledge and background in interdisciplinary food-related areas of research (law, psychology, economics, social sciences, and natural sciences) that will allow you to make informed decisions when standing in front of the food shelves.
Users will learn about the intention-behavior gap, indoor farming directly in the grocery store, how our actual food is genetically altered, and why insects can be used as alternative proteins in our future food. Students will get an option to enroll in either a paid version or a free version of this programme both of which are available on Edx. The free audit track offers limited access or they can choose to upgrade to a paid version which is the verified track.
