Course Overview

Medical Emergencies: Airway, Breathing, and Circulation is a 5-week long online certification course offered by the University of Colorado. This is the second course in the six-part Become an EMT Specialization by Coursera. This course will help you gain the necessary knowledge and skills to assess and stabilise patients for transport. In the Medical Emergencies: Airway, Breathing, and Circulation certification course, you will learn how to assess basic medical patients, recognise airway physiology, assess the airway, and various interventions for airway management. You will be able to understand the general pharmacology principles and know how to administer medications.
