Course Overview

Online education has become quite popular in today’s interconnected world. Learning methods have also evolved due to the growing popularity of e-learning platforms. Students now have the option to supplement their learning by engaging in interactive exercises, collaborative projects, and other digital tools. You will have a more in-depth look into the history and evolution of online learning with edX’s Instructional Design Models online course.

The highly engaging programs available to you today are not a product of chance and are curated by instructional designers using systematic and careful design techniques. The Instructional Design Models certification syllabus will dive into such practices, both traditional and novel, to help you understand how the models have evolved. Moreover, you will look at collaboration, curriculum design, and questioning techniques which will help you develop a course outline by the end.

The Instructional Design Models training is a constituent of the Instructional Design and Technology MicroMaster’s program provided by UMGC and it can be audited by the learners for free of cost for a limited duration.  Once you have completed the program and have received the MicroMasters certificate, you can then transition into the full-fledged UMGC Master’s Programme in Learning Design and Technology. To get the certificate, you will have to pay a nominal fee, worth considering the benefits.
