Course Overview

This Going Out On a Limb: Anatomy of the Upper Limb training is a six weeks online course. Penn University designed and offered this course through the EDX platform. This course was explained by James S. White.

The anatomy lab is no longer limited to first-year medical students. Anyone can learn about the upper limb without using a cadaver with this online anatomy course.

This course will introduce you to the anatomy of the upper limb using basic human anatomical terminology and then examine the bones of the upper limb and how they articulate at joints using what you've learned. Users can also learn about the muscles that move those joints, as well as the upper limb's innervation and blood supply.
